Traditional Jewish Christmas! (Chinese take-out & a movie!)
Christmas can be a strange day for those of us who don't celebrate — everything is closed, people seem to disappear, and the world is awash with red & green. Fortunately, Jews are a resilient and innovative people! Since as early as 1899, many have made a tradition of eating Chinese food for Christmas, and we're keeping the tradition alive this year!
In lieu of sharing dim sum in person, we will gather virtually starting at 1:00pm on Friday, December 25th! Get takeout or delivery from your favorite local spot* and then we'll all watch a favorite holiday movie together (title TBD — feel free to send your requests and recommendations to [email protected]!).
Sign up here for the event, and we'll send you the Zoom link to join us.
*If takeout isn't in your budget, just send your receipt to [email protected] and we'll gladly cover the cost! We also welcome donations to our takeout fund to ensure that the whole CJJ family can participate!
