Rights of Nature/River Convening (Community Information Sessions

CJJ members have been invited to this community event by 7 Directions of Service. This event is not hosted by CJJ.

7 Directions of Service has been working on the Rights of Nature for the last year, building strategic relationships, holding workshops, meetings and educational forums to ready ourselves to advance Rights of Nature legislation for the Haw River in 2023. To achieve our goal, we will be working with several organizations, lawyers, NC General Assembly members, as well as community members who are passionate about protecting the Haw River.

On Friday, December 16, we will host our first in-person Community Information Session in Saxapahaw, focusing on Alamance County. We invite ALL people who love and care for the Haw River to attend.
