Police Violence & Raleigh - Jewish Community Discussion
How is Raleigh responding to the demand for accountability in policing? Does our tradition provide insight into the crisis we are confronting since the tragic killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and those whose names are not recorded?
The Progressive Kehilla of Beth Meyer and Carolina Jews for Justice invite you to a conversation with members of Raleigh PACT (Police Accountability Community Taskforce) a citizen’s group which has been addressing these issues in Raleigh since 2015, asking the city council for a more robust and serious oversight of policing. CJJ will respond, framing these concerns from a Jewish perspective. We will zoom in at 7:30 Thursday August 20, with ample time for questions and discussion.
