Post-election Gathering
Lived Jewish community is thick. We eat meals together, visit each other in sickness, sit together in sorrow and laugh together in joy. — Rabbi Joshua Ladon
As Ron Katz, CJJ Board and Voting Rights working group member, often says, “Democracy is messy.” Elections can also bring up every emotion possible from despair to joy. Sitting with uncertainty can be hard. There are things we will know and things we will not know, but what we know is that we have each other. It is in these moments that we find comfort and power with other Jews working toward justice. Join us on Thursday, November 10 at 7 pm for a statewide zoom call where we will share our stories and observations and come back to our Jewish values and community. While we will highlight some opportunities to get involved post-election, we will spend most of our time taking stock of where we are post-election day.
