Participatory Budgeting GOTV Meeting
Come join us as we develop our strategy for spreading the word about the Durham Participatory Budgeting cycle happening this month! Participatory budgeting is a process that empowers people to vote on how a city allocates part of its budget, allowing residents to identify, discuss, and prioritize public spending projects. This cycle, the Durham City Council has set aside $1 million to be distributed among community organizations that are supporting racial, social, and economic justice, particularly with an eye towards COVID-19 relief. We need to let Durham residents (13 and up!) know that they have a voice in this important process!
