Orange County Justice United Public Accountability Assembly

CJJ members have been invited to this community event by Justice United. This event is not hosted by CJJ.

Join Justice United leaders for a public accountability session with District Attorney Jeff Nieman and the leadership of Alliance Health, the company responsible for disbursing public mental health funds in Orange County.

• We'll hear DA Nieman and Alliance Health's reports about progress meeting their commitments made to JU last year, for a more equitable justice system and for addressing the Latino mental health resource crisis.
• We'll also invite members to shape a vision for Justice United's next steps this year. 

This accountability assembly's purpose is to ensure that we follow through on last year's actions. Our goal is to demonstrate to the District Attorney and Alliance Health that Justice United is an organization with the ability to turn out consistently, over time, in large numbers. This consistency is a key element of our power and our ability to make change. Our ability to act consistently on our community's interests is why decision makers decide to give us deals in the first place. If we want to get good results from our negotiations with the District Attorney and Alliance Health, then we need to show up in big numbers this May. You can read more and register at this link.
