Lobby Day at the General Assembly in Raleigh

Please join CJJ and the Health Advocacy Project at the NC Justice Center on Valentine's Day when we will be gathering at the 1000 Courtyard of the NC General Assembly to do legislative visits and information drop-off about how we can Love Our Neighbors by expanding Medicaid! In 2022, North Carolina lawmakers came closer than ever to closing our state's coverage gap and providing healthcare to over half a million North Carolinians.  We are asking for your help once again to ensure that 2023 will be the year our lawmakers finally expand Medicaid. As we approach Valentine's Day 2023, we want to encourage our lawmakers to do the right thing with a spirit of love, hope, and togetherness. Your voice is essential to ensure that they do. 

Half a million of our neighbors in North Carolina need to be able to afford their cancer screenings, their prescription drugs, mental health treatment, and more. Show your love this Valentine's season by advocating for affordable healthcare. 

We’ll also be co-hosting a "Love Thy Neighbor" Valentine's Day advocacy event at the NC General Assembly on February 14, 2023, which will include hand-delivering Valentine's Day cards to all NC Senate and House members.

We can’t wait to see you Tuesday, February 14th in the 1000 Courtyard of the N.C. General Assembly to advocate for Medicaid expansion with people from across the state!
