Interfaith Streambank Restoration

Inspired by Tu B’Shvat, we’re taking action to care for the rivers and support recovery after Hurricane Helene’s damage to Western North Carolina. This President’s Day (Monday, Feb 16), NECHAMA is joining the Creation Care Alliance of MountainTrue for a hands-on morning of interfaith service from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. We’ll restore the Swannanoa River through live staking, a method of using native tree cuttings to help repair and protect the riverbanks. Click here to watch highlights from past events!
