Immigrant Rights Working Group Kickoff

First LA. Then DC. Then Chicago.
North Carolina is now the latest target of Trump administration's authoritarian crackdown on our immigrant friends and neighbors. But we are ready. Immigrant rights organizations across the state were preparing long before Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) arrived in Charlotte on Saturday, Nov 15. Siembra NC has launched an app to track ICE/CBP activity in North Carolina. ICE watch and direct action trainings are happening in numerous communities, from Asheville to Wilmington. Our state is stepping up and pulling together to protect our most vulnerable immigrant communities.
But immigrant rights groups like Siembra NC, Carolina Migrant Network, CIMA and FaithAction International can't do it all on their own. And many of us are eager to do our part. Which is why CJJ is launching our Immigrant Rights Working Group.
Join us Tuesday, November 25 at 7 pm ET for our kickoff, and stick around for:
- Updates on latest ICE/CBP deployments
- Statewide response debrief
- Info and sign-ups for local trainings and actions
The Jewish community has a long history of fighting for immigrant justice. The fight has come to us, once again. Let's answer the call together!
