On April 5, national and local organizations are coming together across the country in a nationwide protest against the billionaire takeover of our government and the Trump-Musk assault on our freedoms and communities. We’re demanding action to remove corrupt politicians from office, reverse the extreme damage they’ve already done, and reclaim our democracy.

Three organizations have joined together to present the Asheville event — Good Trouble WNC, the NC Poor People’s Campaign, and Indivisible AVL. Local speakers include veterans rights spokesmen Jay Carey and Will Nugent, plus speakers on immigration, climate, and health care.  Musical performers include the Asheville Gay Men’s Chorus and WomanSong of Asheville.  Other participating organizations include La Milpa, Sunrise Movement Asheville, and the NC Workers Party.
