Exploring the 1619 Project

Exploring the 1619 Project

Exploring the 1619 Project: Going Deeper and Getting Clearer with Rev. Tami Forte Logan facilitating.

Participants will watch a brief excerpt of one episode of the six part Hulu docuseries version of “The 1619 Project” created by Pulitzer Prize-winning  journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones and the New York  Times Magazine. The 1619 Project supports our collective reframing of the country’s history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of Black Americans at the center of our national narrative. This event is in person and will be livestreamed.

This event is part of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church's (GCPC) summer Racial Justice Series.  CJJ is invited to participate in this unique opportunity to listen and learn!  All of the summer series events have been recorded and can be found at GCPC's YouTube channel.
