CJJ-West Democracy Rights Meeting 2-7-23
Some believe that in the odd years, little happens with voting. That is not the case! In fact, in NC, the odd years are the “long sessions” for the NC General Assembly, the most productive time for legislation in NC, and when bills affecting access to voting are likely to be introduced.
Carolina Jews for Justice works to promote voting to all who are and should be eligible. In the West and statewide, we are gearing up for 2023 to continue that effort. This can also be a year to build relationships with elected officials so that when an issue comes up, they already know us.
On Tuesday, February 7th, starting at 7:00 pm, the CJJ-West Democracy Rights work group will have its first meeting of the year. Come learn what you can do in our chapter/region and in the state. Be part of a team that is working locally, regionally, statewide and even nationally to look at key issues to strengthen our democracy. You can make a difference!
RSVP below to receive the Zoom link. If you have questions, call (828-768-4559) or email Ron Katz.
