CJJ-West Chapter Meeting
Join us for our first in-person chapter meeting since 2020. We're focusing on reparations!
Our guest speaker, Marsha Davis, Executive Director of the Tzedek Social Justice Fund, will share the United Nations' and the Movement 4 Black Lives' reparations frameworks in discussing how Asheville's local reparations movement fits into the national reparations conversation. Deborah Miles, Tzedek board member, CJJ member, and founder and former Executive Director of the UNC Asheville Center for Diversity Education, will further the reparations discourse by briefly exploring the Jewish perspective. We'll have time for questions and answers and some schmoozing too!
Whether you're brand new to CJJ or have been around since the beginning, you are welcome!
Since this is an in-person event, feel free to look at our recently updated CJJ COVID guidelines.
