CJJ-Durham/Orange County Chapter Meeting
This is sure to be a summer with plenty of opportunities to organize for justice. Reproductive rights, voting rights and voter safety, environmental justice, and dismantling anti-Semitism and white supremacy are top of mind for all of us.
Let’s come together to strategize about how to win on these issues! Please come join us at our May D/OC chapter meeting on May 19th at 7:30.
Whether you just heard about CJJ or you've been around since the very beginning, you're invited to join us for our next Durham/Orange County chapter meeting! We'll spend some time talking about what CJJ is doing at the statewide and local level, and then dig into ways for folks to get involved. Please come, and invite your friends!
- We are thrilled to be joined by Vernetta Alston (NC House of Representatives, District 29), who will give her analysis of the outcome of the primary elections (if you live in Durham, tomorrow is election day!).
- We’ll discuss how we might give feedback on the Durham Comprehensive Plan, which includes hundreds of new policy proposals that will impact our long-term vision for Durham’s future.
- We’ll talk about our plans for fellowship and regular civic engagement action during summer (stay tuned for more information - BIWEEKLY BAGELS may be involved).
