Ask a Poll Worker!
Many of the people who traditionally serve as poll workers during election season are older retirees, and they consequently no longer feel safe playing this role due to COVID risks. We continue to hear from NC election officials that they're anticipating a significant shortage of poll workers this year, and there is an urgent need for new volunteers (for these paid positions)!
If you're interested in stepping up to the task -- or even if you're just curious about what happens "behind the scenes" -- please join us for a panel discussion featuring three experienced poll workers who will share stories, explain the job, and answer questions (including important things like, Which celebrities have come through your polling place?).
