March with CJJ-West at Asheville Pride!
Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled by the organizers because of concerns for community health and public safety.
Join the CJJ-West contingent marching in Asheville's annual Pride Parade on Saturday, Sept. 25*! The walk is a half mile long, beginning in Pack Square and processing into the heart of the festival. We will gather in the parking lot across from 23 Grove Street — look for the CJJ banner, and wear your own CJJ shirt if you have one! (If you don't have one but would like one, please email [email protected] with your preferred size and we'll do our best to accommodate!)
All participants should wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. If you have had a known exposure to COVID or do not feel well, please do not attend. We will update all registrants with any additional COVID safety recommendations as the event draws nearer.
*CJJ recognizes and respects the many ways members of our community observe Shabbat. We also acknowledge that when working in coalition with our non-Jewish partners there will occasionally be events falling during the hours of Shabbat which might present a challenge and choice for our members. We fully support individuals who decide to participate or not participate at this event due to their own level of observance or comfort.
