Action Hour with CJJ-W Democracy Rights #2

Are you ready to take action to support democracy and weren’t able to make the first Action Hour (or wanted to do it AGAIN)?  Come to the second Action Hour that has been created to address:

• The drawing of fair maps in 2021 in North Carolina 
• Getting federal legislation passed to promote voter access and fairness. 

While it is important to vote, it is important that we have fair maps so that our votes count. You will learn about the once-in-a-decade process of accounting for state-level population changes in North Carolina to draw new district maps from the federal level to the local level. It impacts how funding is distributed for healthcare, schools, and roads.
