FED UP Food Distribution in Durham

In collaboration with Fight for $15 and the Triangle Circle of the NC Poor People's Campaign, CJJ is organizing FED UP, a food drive in Durham that brings people together to fight for dignity. We know that it is not enough to distribute food and cleaning supplies if we do not also question why people are struggling in the first place. It is time for all of us to come together and confront the system that has been failing people for long before the pandemic. We don’t want to get back to “normal,” because “normal” was not working for us. We want to live in a society where the needs of people come first, where we don’t have to fight every day just to survive.
